Perhaps more farces will be churned out starring bankers - though, following the last few months, I'm sure politicians will still be the whipping boys of choice in this particular genre.

Setting its stall out from the moment you walk in - big, brash, unflattering headlines about the money men dominate the set - this is an unsubtle bedroom farce with too few laughs to justify calling it a "credit crunch comedy".

It also has little to do with the world of corporate greed and more to do with an exbanker's problems juggling a mistress and a wife.

Laddish Johnny Nicholas (Ben Nathan) is still trying to keep Lenka (Charlotte Pyke) a secret from his estranged wife (Pandora Clifford), who is up for a reconciliation - even though he's down to his last couple of million.

But Lenka is much more than a pretty face and hatches a scheme with Johnny to make a killing betting on currencies, which he is a little too eager to jump into.

With not enough substance, longueurs aplenty and a predictable ending, this is pretty weak fare only enlivened by some competent acting, while the ridiculously short second half seems more a cynical ploy to boost bar takings at the replica breitling watches interval.
